Fortaleza Capital exclusive corporate finance adviser to Van De Velde Packaging Group on the acquisition of De Dozenhal
Transaction background: Van De Velde Packaging Group has reached an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of De Dozenhal, based in Ermelo (the Netherlands). For Van De Velde Packaging the acquisition fits seamlessly into its ambition to grow into an important player in corrugated board. Combining the companies into one strong organisation offers the group new opportunities to respond even better to the growing market demand for corrugated board packaging.

About De Dozenhal: De Dozenhal, established in 1978, its subsidiaries Kartonsonline and Wijmakendozen.nl trade in used and new cardboard boxes for the B2B market. The company stands for fast delivery from the largest stock of cardboard boxes in the Netherlands at a competitive price and keeps approximately 2,500 different sizes and qualities of boxes in stock. The logistics are carried out almost entirely in-house. De Dozenhal contributes to a circular economy through sustainable procurement of used and leftover batches of new boxes.
Under the trade names Dozenlatenmaken.nl and Wijmakendozen.nl, the company produces new cardboard boxes for the B2B market in Leek (the Netherlands) and in Ermelo (the Netherlands). Boxes in every batch size, type, size and quality are produced and delivered from purchased corrugated sheets. In addition, the boxes can be printed in colour or in black.
De Dozenhal will continue to serve its customers in its familiar way from Ermelo and Leek and focus on the trade and production of corrugated board packaging. This sector is booming thanks to the strong growth of e-commerce and the switch from plastic packaging to cardboard packaging.
